Robert E. Chism is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and introduction of new advanced applications and technologies for all product lines. Mr. Chism also directs the research and development organizations for Video Solutions and Media Data & Advanced Advertising. He has worked with the company since 1996, following the acquisition of Harris Computer Systems Division.
Mr. Chism has more than 25 years of diverse engineering, program management and marketing experience in the computer and related industries with Lockheed Martin, Rockwell International, General Electric and Harris Computer Systems Corporation. Following Concurrent’s acquisition of Harris Computer Systems in June 1996, Mr. Chism was elected to vice president of development, during which time he spearheaded the merging of technologies that led to the development of and company focus on video-on-demand products.
Before the company was acquired, Mr. Chism held several senior executive positions at Harris Computer Systems, including director of the Simulation Business Area, vice president of development and vice president of technical and productions operations. In each of these positions, he initiated product strategies and alliances that positioned the company’s integrated solutions division to achieve growth in both military and commercial market segments.
A native of Florida, Mr. Chism received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami in 1975 and a master's degree in business administration from Stetson University in 1987.
